VIETNAM, DECEMBER 17, 2025  – Makino Vietnam Company Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Makino Asia Group, Singapore, today celebrates the grand opening of its Hung Yen Factory and Technology Center, marking a historic milestone as Makino becomes one of the first global machine tool brand to establish a manufacturing facility in Vietnam. 

The inauguration will be followed by the Makino Techno Show 2025, held on 18–19 December, showcasing cutting-edge machining technologies, automation solutions, and smart manufacturing innovations.

These landmark events underscore Makino’s commitment to advancing Vietnam’s role in the global manufacturing ecosystem and supporting the country’s growing precision engineering sector.

Strategic Significance
Vietnam’s rapid economic growth and strong trade agreements with the EU, China, and ASEAN make it a key hub for advanced manufacturing. The new Hung Yen facility complements Makino’s factory operations in Singapore and enhances the company’s ability to deliver innovative solutions and responsive support to customers across Southeast Asia.

Hung Yen Factory Highlights 

  • The new site features a 12,000 m² facility dedicated to manufacturing, a state-of-the-art technical center for product demonstrations, engineering support, and training, as well as modern office space.
  • Purpose-built to strengthen Makino Asia’s regional presence, the facility supports the production of sub-assemblies and automation products, enabling localised manufacturing to improve efficiency and shorten lead times.
  • Enhanced customer service and application expertise to meet evolving industry needs.
