2023 marks the Golden Jubilee of Makino Asia
To commemorate this 50 years milestone, Makino Asia has planned a year-long series of activities to express its gratitude to customers, partners, and employees, whilst rediscovering its core strengths and the path forward for the industry.
Under the anniversary tagline of
50 Years of Performance, Makino Asia will look to strengthen its ties and build loyalty with customers and prospects, explore new opportunities with end users through existing partners and suppliers, and uphold its commitment to the market to build a steady pipeline of talent and growth opportunities.
A specially-designed logo was also selected and adapted from competing entries by our employees to mark this momentous occasion. This visual mark has a three-fold significance:
- The lines added to ‘5’ represent dynamism and illustrate the energy of ‘movement’ as Makino embarks on its successful journey into the future.
- Makino’s graphic mark is incorporated in '0', and
- The anniversary tagline 50 Years of Performance, aims to highlight the promise the company has upheld in delivering the best for its customers.
Having established a strong presence in the machine tool industry over the last 5 decades, Makino Asia hopes to continue growing globally by developing new technologies and supporting businesses to automate and optimize machine performance to meet the changing demands of the market.
Performance is everything Makino stands for and everything it stands behind, it has always been and always will be.
Message from CEO and President
We turn 50 this year – almost half a lifetime and a Golden milestone for us at Makino Asia.
Indeed, we have come a long way since 1973 when we were first known as LeBlond Asia Pte Ltd and were making manual lathes for the US market. Fast forward to the 1980s, after being acquired by Makino to become the present-day Makino Asia Pte Ltd, we have transformed our business, thanks to our innovative and resilient spirit.
Alongside our customers, partners, and employees, we have successfully built a strong supply chain network, expanded into regions including India and China, and attracted top talent to design products for the global market. Our strong engineering roots, coupled with our
Promise of Performance have been the drivers for our success.
My colleagues and I are deeply conscious of the legacy we have created and are appreciative of all the support we have received. We will continue to strive for a
Quality First mindset across the organization, from the way we manufacture our products to the development of our people and the business.
This year, as we take this time to reflect on the journey we have taken and the progress we have made, we would like to thank all our customers and partners who have walked with us these past five decades. We look forward to journeying with them and achieving greater milestones with them in years to come.
