On 21 May 2025, Makino Additive Manufacturing Centre of Excellence (AM CoE) had the pleasure of hosting 100 students from the School of Mechanical Engineering as part of our ongoing engagement with thenext generation of enginerring talent.
The visit began with an immersive introduction to Makino’s innovation journey, highlighting our role in advancing manufacturing technologies globally. Students were then guided through our AM CoE, where they explored state-of-the-art additive manufacturing systems, hybrid capabilities, and real-world applications that demonstrate the future of industrial production.
This initiative underscores Makino’s commitment to nurturing future-ready talent and fostering meaningful connections between industry and academia. The overwhelmingly positive response from students and faculty reaffirmed the impact of such collaborations in sparking curiosity, building skills, and inspiring future careers in advanced manufacturing.
