Makino is the originator of high-speed spindles for commercial use. With spindles able to achieve speeds of 20,000 rpm and above, it’s no wonder we are the undisputed leader in high-speed high-efficiency machining center technology. Makino machines will deliver precise statistical performance and dramatically reduced cycle times.
In the stamping industry , time can critical.
Makino’s U3 ● U6, with 3µmRz/ 3pass capability cuts faster than other technologies. The mechanical structure of the machines also assures that movements between details will be accurate anywhere within the work envelope. This combination of speed, finish, and repeatability will help increase productivity.
The unified Hyperi control delivers an identical streamlined interface to both Wire and Sinker EDM operations, and provides new levels of capability, efficiency, and user friendliness. New Generation – Touch screen controller available for both Sinker and Wire EDM that makes machining easy as Ready, Set , Go! Some functions include:
E-Tech Doctor can help you achieve your perfect part! E-Tech Doctor is a revolutionary method of adjusting machining conditions to create the desirable result.
All machine manuals reside electronically within the Hyper i control , and are organized with index and search functions for quick access.
On-board training system with integrated video provides a convenient training and reference tool.
Monitor and track machine consumables and maintenance intervals.
3µmRz / 3 Pass Machining Improves Productivity
Under standard machining condition, the U3/ U6 machines is able to deliver a surface finish of 3µmRz with just 3 pass machining. This met the requirement of cutting blades of progressive die used in precision metal stamping operation.
Workpiece Material : Steel(SKD-11)
Wire Used : 0.25mm dia. Brass Wire
Material Thickness : 80 mm
Surface Finish : 3μmRz
When PICO Precision guides are removed for any reason, no lengthy re-alignment procedures are required after re-installing the guides. Reinstalling takes less than 45 seconds per guide and is done by simply threading the guide into the head and tightening. The U3/ U6’s new PICO Precision guides are inserted into a precisely located tapped hole, maintaining the vertical position of the guide. Precision machined mating surfaces of the guide and head assure proper guide height.
